My Story — The Heart Behind ProLux Holistic

My journey into beauty began long before ProLux ever existed.

I was just seventeen, standing at that crossroads where everyone asks, “What do you want to do with your life?”

I didn’t have the answer — but I knew I loved creativity, colour, and the world of beauty. When the opportunity came to study a programme in Latvia that combined a Leaving-Cert equivalent with a professional qualification, I chose makeup artistry. For three years I immersed myself in creativity, expression, and the kind of beauty that feels transformative. I loved every moment — even if I still wasn’t sure where it would all lead.

After finishing, I drifted a little, trying to figure out my direction. I went to college, but it wasn’t what my heart called for. So at twenty, during a summer break, I travelled to Ireland for what was meant to be a temporary summer job. My sister was living there, and I thought it would be a short adventure.

That “summer” has now lasted fifteen years.

Life came first — work, settling in, and then my two beautiful children, who arrived when I was still very young. Looking back, I’m grateful. At that time, I didn’t yet know who I wanted to become, and being a mother shaped me long before I discovered my deeper purpose.

But beauty never left me.

And neither did my love for all things natural, pure, and healing.

I studied natural skincare and even created my own skincare brand for a while. It didn’t take off the way I imagined — but in hindsight, it was an essential part of my journey. Every step was preparing me.

When my kids were a little older, I searched for something I could do from home, something creative, something that felt like me. Lash extensions were just becoming popular, so I took a course. It was challenging… but I loved it.

That was the moment the spark returned.

I started my lash business from home, slowly adding brows and later semi-permanent brows. After a few years, the demand grew so much that I knew it was time to take the next step — a salon. My best friend, who was doing nails, joined me, and together we opened ProLux.

We built something special. A team, a space, a name.

But as the years passed, our paths evolved. My heart began leaning toward the holistic side — Reiki, sound healing, deeper forms of transformation. My friend chose to step fully into her own holistic path, and eventually, I found myself right back where I started… running the salon on my own.

It was a big shift, but it was exactly what needed to happen.

Because it allowed me to see who I truly am.

Beauty is my passion — but not just the surface kind.

I’ve always been drawn to the beauty that begins within.

So I expanded into facial treatments, healing touch, and deep self-care. I combined the aesthetic with the spiritual, the practical with the intuitive.

And that’s how ProLux Holistic was born.

Today, ProLux Holistic Beauty is more than a salon.

It’s a sanctuary. A place where beauty, wellness, and healing intertwine.

A space that sees you — your energy, your emotions, your potential.

Where treatments don’t just enhance how you look… they nurture how you feel.

My mission is simple and deeply personal:

to help people heal, soften, and reconnect with themselves — through the lens of beauty that starts within.
